New Delhi, June 10 India highlighted the success of its labour reforms and expanding social security framework at the International Labour Organization (ILO) Conference in Geneva, showcasing the country’s efforts to improve worker welfare, employment opportunities and labour market efficiency.
Representatives of the Indian delegation informed global stakeholders that India has undertaken significant labour reforms aimed at simplifying labour laws, enhancing worker protection and expanding social security benefits to millions of workers across organised and unorganised sectors. The country emphasized that these reforms are supporting economic growth while ensuring adequate safeguards for workers.
