Road Connectivity Restored by BRO in Flood-Affected Kathua under Project Sampark

Jammu, Sep 07 The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has restored a crucial washed-out road section in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district under Project Sampark. The BRO constructed a new road formation to bypass the damaged stretch on the Basohli-Bani road near Tikri Morh, re-establishing connectivity to Bhaderwah from Basohli.

This operation was conducted in challenging weather and terrain. The restoration is vital as recent incessant rains, landslides, and cloudbursts caused extensive damage to roads across the union territory, disrupting connectivity and the supply of essential goods to the Valley via the Jammu-Srinagar highway and the Mughal Road.
