Railways to run Special Trains during Ganesh Utsav

New Delhi, July 25 Indian Railways will operation of Special trains during Ganesh Utsav-2025 to accommodate the influx of passengers. These trains will halt at various locations along the Konkan Railway, enhancing the availability of regular services during peak times.

The halts of Ganpati Special trains serving over Konkan Railway have been planned at Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Warmne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, Kalambani Budruk, Khed, Anjani, Chiplun, Kamathe, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Jn, Karwar, Gokama Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Mookambika Road, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal.

Additionally, the tatkal ticket booking system has been revised for increased accessibility and transparency, with restrictions on authorized ticketing agents during the initial thirty minutes of booking. Measures have been taken by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to combat black marketing and unauthorized ticket distribution, including regular inspections and public awareness campaigns.
