New Delhi, Sep 08 Kia India will pass on the full benefit of the reduced Goods and Services Tax (GST) on its internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle portfolio to customers, effective September 22, resulting in price cuts up to Rs 4.48 lakh.
This follows the central government’s decision to lower GST on cars from 28% to 18%, aiming to make mobility more accessible. The Kia Carnival will receive the largest price reduction. The Goods and Services Tax Council approved a new three-tier structure, with the changes taking effect on Navratri, September 22. Kia India’s Managing Director and CEO, Gwanggu Lee, welcomed the reform as a citizen-centric measure that will boost the automotive sector.
Other manufacturers like Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, Renault India, and Hyundai India have also announced similar benefits.
