New Delhi, Aug 18: On Saturday, August 17th 2024. All over India members of The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India observed Bandh across the country kept their OPDs closed and tied black ribbons to protest against the heinous incident that took place in Kolkata in which an on-duty, a female PG student doctor was brutally raped and murdered in the Hospital of RG Kar Medical College.
Dr. A K Gupta National Secretary General HMAI the largest association of homoeopathic doctors in the world said that the homeopathic fraternity condemns such an incident and appeals for strictest punishment to the culprit at the earliest so that such sad and painful incidents do not happen again in future. We also demand from the government to make appropriate security arrangements for all doctors on duty.
Violence on Doctor’s should be legally protected said Dr.Gupta. Many State branches of HMAI shared their various Protest activities like Protest March, Candor March, raising slogans played skits by the Homoeopathic Medical colleges from Gujrat, UP, West Bengal,Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Utrakhand etc. Dr. Gupta emphasised that HMAI stands for Justice and will always be ready to actively participate with solidarity to any such occasion which needs support for a common cause of humanity and for the welfare of the society.
But we wish and pray that such type of incidents should not occur at all. We express our heartfelt Condolences to the family of deceased doctor and pray to God to grant them courage to bear the shock of loosing their daughter.
