EAM Jaishankar Holds Talks with Singapore PM Wong on Boosting Ties

New Delhi, Sept 05: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has called on Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in New Delhi to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.

He expressed confidence that ties between the two nations will further deepen following Wong’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Wong is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with Modi later in the day, and Jaishankar is confident that his talks will chart a roadmap for contemporary ties.

Wong arrived in India on a three-day official visit, marking a significant moment in the evolving strategic partnership between the two countries. This is his first visit to India since assuming office, and he is accompanied by his wife and a high-level delegation including cabinet ministers and senior officials. Wong’s visit coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to strengthening the partnership further.
