इंदौर, 18 फरवरी, 2017 :  आज  इंदौर में होटल रैडिसन ब्लू में दक्षिण एशियाई देशों के अध्यक्षों के शिखर सम्मेलनका उद्घाटन करते हुए लोक सभा अध्यक्ष, श्रीमती सुमित्रा महाजन ने कहा कि विकास तब तक संभव और चिरस्थायीनहीं हो सकता जब तक यह मानव कल्याण के लिए  न हो  । इस संबंध में उन्होंने पंडित दीन दयाल उपाध्याय कीकही इस बात को उद्धृत किया कि ” एकात्म  मानववाद ही विकास का आधार है क्योंकि इसमें ऐसे स्वदेशी  आर्थिकतंत्र  का समर्थन किया गया है जिसमें मानव कल्याण को केंद्र में रखा गया है ।“ उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि हमारीसंस्कृति की कीमत पर होने वाला विकास चिरस्थायी नहीं होगा और इतिहास इस बात का गवाह है कि अपनी सभ्यताकी ताकत के बल पर हमने  कैसे आधुनिक चुनौतियों का भी डटकर सामना किया है श्रीमती महाजन ने कहा कि सतत विकास लक्ष्यों से मानवजाति के विकास के लिए विश्वव्यापी प्राथमिकताएं निर्धारित हुई हैं और इनका उद्देश्य  आर्थिक विकास, सामाजिक विकास और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के तीन महत्वपूर्णपहलुओं के बीच संतुलन बनाना है । इन लक्ष्यों के पीछे छिपी हितकारी सोच की सराहना करते हुए उन्होंने इस बातपर जोर दिया कि देशवासियों को हर हाल में प्राथमिकता दी जानी चाहिए तथा अमीरों और  गरीबों के बीच बढ़तीखाई को पाटने के लिए समावेशी और व्यापक आधार वाले आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा दिया जाना चाहिए । यह टिप्पणी करते हुए कि दक्षिण एशिया के देशों का न केवल सांझा इतिहास और साथ जुड़ा हुआ भौगौलिकक्षेत्र है, बल्कि हमारी नियति सांझी है, श्रीमती महाजन ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि इन क्षेत्रों को अपने देशवासियोंकी खुशहाली और शान्ति के लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने लिए मिलकर काम करना चाहिए इस संबंध में उन्होंने उनअनुमानों का उल्लेख किया जिनके अनुसार पूरे संसार में सतत विकास लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति के लिए प्रति वर्ष अनुमानितव्यय लगभग 5 से 7 ट्रिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर है जिनमें से विकासशील देशों को प्रति वर्ष लगभग 3.9 ट्रिलियनअमेरिकी डॉलर की आवश्यकता होती है । उन्होंने यह जानकारी भी दी कि भारत की सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को प्राप्तकरने के लिए अगले 15 सालों में प्रति वर्ष लगभग 565 बिलियन डॉलर खर्च करने की योजना है जिससे आने वालेसमय में देश की विकास संबंधी प्राथमिकताओं को मूर्त  रूप दिया जाएगा श्रीमती महाजन ने कहा कि भारत एक महात्वाकांक्षी, व्यापक और समतावादी विकास का  अजेंडा तैयार करनेके लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुदाय के साथ मिलकर कार्य करने के लिए वचनबद्ध है जिसमें गरीबी दूर करने को प्रमुखतादी जायेगी । उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों और उनकी सरकार के बीच संपर्क सूत्र होने के नाते सांसद इन लक्ष्यों को प्राप्तकरने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते हैं । उन्होंने पीढ़ियों के बीच इक्विटी; देशों के बीच विकास संबंधी असमानता;विकसित देशों द्वारा विकासशील देशों को वित्तीय सहायता और प्रौद्योगिकी दिए जाने की आवश्यकता; पर्यावरणीयसरोकारों को ध्यान में रखते हुए अधिक समतावादी विकास करने से जुड़े मुद्दों पर ध्यान देने का आग्रह किया । श्रीमती महाजन को इस बात से  ख़ुशी हुई कि इंदौर सम्मेलन में  सतत विकास लक्ष्यों के कार्यान्वयन के लिएसंसाधन, महिला पुरुष समानता, जलवायु परिवर्तन और आपदा प्रबंधन के  तीन महत्वपूर्ण  विषयों पर चर्चा करने काप्रयास किया जा रहा गया है । देवी अहिल्याबाई होलकर जिन्होंने महिला उत्थान के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय योगदान किया था, की विरासत कास्मरण करते हुए श्रीमती महाजन ने कहा कि वह लोगों के दिलों पर राज करती थी । उनके  महान प्रशासनिक गुणोंऔर बिना किसी भय और पक्षपात के न्याय करने के लिए उन्हें आज भी सब उन्हें बहुत प्यार करते हैं और उनकीपूजा करते हैं । श्रीमती महाजन ने कहा कि  उनके लिए बहुत गर्व की बात है कि वह पिछले 28 सालों से उसनिर्वाचनक्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही हैं जिस पर ऐसी सुप्रसिद्ध महिला ने शासन किया था । इससे पहले अंतर संसदीय संघ के अध्यक्ष, श्री साबिर चौधरी ने कहा कि मध्य प्रदेश, जहाँ इंदौर का ऐतिहासिकऔर ओजस्वी शहर स्थित है, भारत में लोकतंत्र का केंद्र है । उन्होंने कहा कि श्रीमती महाजन लगातार 8 बार इंदौर सेनिर्वाचित हुई हैं जिससे इस बात का पता चलता है कि इंदौर के लोग उन पर कितना विश्वास करते हैं । आमतौर परहरेक चुनाव के बाद राजनेताओं के लिए मतदान कम होता
