Shri Rajeev Sharma, CMD,REC received the 13th ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance for the year 2013 from Shri Arun Jaitley, Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs and Defence

New Delhi, August 25 Shri Rajeev Sharma, CMD,REC received the 13th ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance for the year 2013 from Shri Arun Jaitley, Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs and Defence ,on August 24, 2014 at the award presentation ceremony held at Taj Bengal, Kolkata .

The award was conferred byThe Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), a statutory body constituted under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980.REC was selected as ‘Best Governed Company’by Eminent Jury Members headed by Hon’ble Mr Justice M N Venkatachaliah, Former Chief Justice of India, from a number of listed and unlisted companies in Public and private sector.

The selection process was based on Management’s contributive capabilities, growth & performance, governance ethos, internal excellence, integrated approach towards CSR & sustainable development, vision & future strategy of the Company , corroboration of responses of the Company from the Independent Directors and factoring the regulatory responses confirming the credentials of the Company. REC is a Navratna PSU under Ministry of Power engaged in business of financing Power Projects.
