The need of the day is to economize water in agriculture and to bring more area under irrigation, reduce the cost of irrigation on unit land and increase the yield per unit area and unit quantum of water. This can be achieved only by introducing advance irrigation methods like micro irrigation.

With the right institutional support, these systems can help poor farmers improve water productivity,  ‘ More Crop Per Drop ®’and incomes.

Dr. Gupta stressed that PNB will strengthen the endeavour of farmers in bringing about change in their socio-economic status through enhanced productivity & returns.  Tibrewala assured bank that Jain Irrigation will assist the bank in identifying eligible farmers with a requirement for micro irrigation systems, crop management services etc.

Dr. Gupta concluded that this tie-up arrangement will lead to prosperity and upliftment of rural community.
