New Delhi, July 19 : Central Delhi Circle Organised a CSR activity under PNB Prerna at “ AryaMahila Ashram”, Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi. It was founded in 1972 by Dwarka Nath Sehgal, Pran Nath Kakkar and Ram Lal Malik, to help the old and needy women of the society. Presently the Ashram is managed by Arya Samaj Mandir, Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi.
Adarsh Sehgal is the President of the Ashram who is looking after the Ashram. There are about 85 women living in the Ashram. These women either do not have the families to support or abandoned by their own families who do not wish to support them in their old age. All the women are given one room each to live. The Ashram is having the facility of Homeopathic Doctor, Ayurvedic Doctor and Physiotherapy. The Ashram is also having the facility of Laboratory for certain medical tests. The Ashram is dependent on Donations.
The function was chaired by Smt. SuneetaShrimal, President, PNB Prerna, Central Delhi Circle. To encourage such type of organization, Smt. Shrimal handed over 12 Plastic Chairs, 1 Pedestal Fan, 95 Towels, 190 packets of soap, 100 Adult Diapers and Medicines to Smt. AdarshSehgal. Smt. Shrimal gave a message that we should come forward to help these women who do not have any kind of support from the society. Mrs. Sehgal, the President of “ AryaMahila Ashram” appreciated the help given by the Bank. On the occasion Smt. Vandana Kathuria, Smt. LataBurman, Smt. BansiChhabra, Smt. BaljeetKaur, , Smt. ShaswatiChatterjee, Smt. NeeraKataria, SmtReetaKaul and Smt. Suman Chopra were also present.
