PFC  pays 2nd Interim Dividend of Rs. 402.72 Crores to Govt. of India


Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy was presented with the interim dividend cheque of Rs. 402.72 Crores by M.K.Goel, CMD, PFC on 1st March, 2016 towards 2nd Interim Dividend for the FY 2015-16. Present on the occasion were P.K.Pujari, Secretary, and Dr. Arun Kumar Verma, Joint Secretary from Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and R.Nagarajan, Director (Finance.), A.K.Agarwal, Director (Projects) and D.Ravi, Director(Commercial) from PFC.

Presently, the Government of India holds about 67.80% of the paid-up Equity capital of the Company and the balance is held by Institutions and Public.

For the year 2015-16, PFC has declared and paid 1st Interim Dividend @ 88% and the 2nd interim dividend @ 45% of the Company’s Paid-up Equity Capital to the Shareholders.  The interim dividend of 133% of Paid-up Equity Capital  is all time high dividend declared by the Company  for any financial year.

PFC is a consistently profit-earning and dividend-paying company. PFC has been continuously rated as ‘Excellent’ by Govt. of India for the last several years for its performance against MOU targets.
