Power Finance Corporation will financially assist in construction of 7200 toilets in Andhra Pradesh Government Schools under Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan through Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan . The estimated expense of this CSR initiative of PFC is Rs. 123 crores.
M. K. Goel, Chairman & Managing Director of Power Finance Corporation handed over a cheque for Rs Five Crore & Eighty Lakhs to Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, in the presence of Ganta Srinivas, Minister for Education and A. K. Agarwal, Director, Power Finance Corporation on 18th December 2014.The amount of Rs 5 Crore and 80 Lakhs represents the first installment for starting construction of 3378 toilets in Andhra Pradesh.
The MoU signed and exchanged to this effect between Shri R. Murahari, GM, PFC and Smt V. Usha Rani, IAS, State Project Director, AP Sarv Siksha Abhiyan.
