NLC India’s “Nutritious Food Supplement” scheme to benefit inmates of Oasis Trust, Cuddalore

NLC India Limited has always been keen in carrying out CSR activities on a monthly basis through its various endeavors. Recently, NLCIL has embarked upon yet another CSR Activity – Reaching out to elderly and needy people by ensuring nutritious food to them, thereby making a sustainable difference in their health by eliminating malnutrition.  CSR officials of NLCIL, along with Neyveli Ladies Club patrons and members, visited the “Oasis Trust”, a School for differently abled, Vanarapalayam at Cuddalore on 27.11.2017.

Smt. Yogamaya Acharya, President, Neyveli Ladies Club & Sneha Opportunity School, Neyveli,         Smt. Kanchan Rakesh Kumar, Smt. Shanthi Vikraman, Patrons of Neyveli Ladies Club, visited “Oasis Trust” and distributed “Poshak” food packets to 130 inmates. Along with these, Bath and Washing soaps were provided to the inmates.

NLC India Limited is currently providing Rs 1.25 lakh worth “Poshak” food packets every month to the HIV+ve Society, Puthupalayam, Cuddalore and to 75 HIV +ve children of Vridhachalam under its CSR programme. Now NLCIL is extending this facility to 130 inmates of “Oasis Trust”, Cuddalore & 25 inmates of “Buds of Heaven”, a Special Children Home at  Puducherry.
