Faridabad, Oct 11: NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company and a Navratna Enterprise of the Government of India celebrated ‘Global Hydropower Day’ on 11th October 2024 at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad. The celebrations began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC alongwith Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical), NHPC, Santosh Kumar, CVO, NHPC and other senior NHPC officers.
Speaking on the occasion, R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC extended his best wishes to all NHPC employees on the occasion of Global Hydropower Day. Chaudhary emphasized upon the vital role of hydropower and it crucial importance for global sustainability. He also highlighted upon the tremendous potential of hydropower and pumped storage schemes which have largely been untapped in the country. Chaudhary further asked all NHPC employees to work hard for the development of NHPC and hydropower in the country.
In his address, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC said that hydropower has a crucial role in the energy security of the world and appealed to all NHPC employees to commit themselves to NHPC. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical), NHPC said that NHPC has a very bright future and all employees must work with full professionalism towards its growth. In his address, Santosh Kumar, CVO, NHPC spoke on the benefits of hydropower and its importance for grid stability.
As part of the celebrations, NHPC also organized a special quiz competition for all its employees. Smt Bharti Gupta, GM (Civil), Rajesh Kumar Tripathy, GSM (Mechanical) and Sandeep Tanwar, DM (Geo-Tech) secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively in this competition. Another highlight of the event was a soulful rendition of poetry on hydropower and its development by NHPC by Anil Kumar, AM (IT) which mesmerized the audience.
एनएचपीसी ने ‘ग्लोबल हाइड्रोपावर दिवस’ मनाया
भारत की अग्रणी जलविद्युत कंपनी और भारत सरकार की नवरत्न उद्यम एनएचपीसी द्वारा 11 अक्टूबर 2024 को एनएचपीसी निगम मुख्यालय, फरीदाबाद में ‘ग्लोबल हाइड्रोपावर दिवस’ का आयोजन किया गया। समारोह की शुरुआत एनएचपीसी के अध्यक्ष व प्रबंध निदेशक, श्री आर.के. चौधरी द्वारा पारंपरिक दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ हुई, जिसमें एनएचपीसी के निदेशक (कार्मिक) श्री उत्तम लाल, एनएचपीसी के निदेशक (परियोजनाएं एवं तकनीकी) श्री संजय कुमार सिंह, एनएचपीसी के सीवीओ श्री संतोष कुमार और एनएचपीसी के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी शामिल हुए।
इस अवसर पर संबोधित करते हुए, एनएचपीसी के अध्यक्ष व प्रबंध निदेशक, श्री आर.के. चौधरी ने ग्लोबल जलविद्युत दिवस के अवसर पर एनएचपीसी के सभी कार्मिकों को शुभकामनाएं दीं। श्री चौधरी ने जलविद्युत की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका और वैश्विक स्थिरता के लिए इसके महत्व पर बल दिया। श्री चौधरी ने एनएचपीसी के सभी कार्मिकों से एनएचपीसी और देश में जलविद्युत के विकास के लिए कड़ी मेहनत करने की अपील की।
इस अवसर पर अपने संबोधन में एनएचपीसी के निदेशक (कार्मिक) श्री उत्तम लाल ने कहा कि दुनिया की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा में जलविद्युत की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है और उन्होंने एनएचपीसी के सभी कार्मिकों से एनएचपीसी के प्रति समर्पित होने की अपील की। इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए एनएचपीसी के निदेशक (परियोजनाएं एवं तकनीकी) श्री संजय कुमार सिंह ने कहा कि एनएचपीसी का भविष्य बहुत उज्ज्वल है और सभी कार्मिकों को इसके विकास के लिए पूरी व्यावसायिकता के साथ काम करना चाहिए। अपने संबोधन में एनएचपीसी के मुख्य सतर्कता अधिकारी, श्री संतोष कुमार ने जलविद्युत के लाभों और ग्रिड स्थिरता के लिए इसके महत्व पर बात की।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान, एनएचपीसी द्वारा अपने सभी कार्मिकों के लिए एक विशेष प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता भी आयोजित की गई। इस प्रतियोगिता में श्रीमती भारती गुप्ता, महाप्रबंधक (सिविल), श्री राजेश कुमार त्रिपाठी, ग्रुप वरिष्ठ प्रबंधक (मैकेनिकल) और श्री संदीप तंवर, उप प्रबंधक (भू-तकनीकी) ने क्रमशः प्रथम, द्वितीय और तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। कार्यक्रम का एक अन्य आकर्षण के रूप में श्री अनिल कुमार, सहा. प्रबंधक (आईटी) द्वारा एनएचपीसी द्वारा जलविद्युत और इसके विकास पर एक भावपूर्ण कविता प्रस्तुत की गई, जिसने दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।
