Mangalore, 21 January 2025: The first truck parcel of Toluene from Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) was flagged off by Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, Managing Director of #MRPL, at the Aromatic Complex within the Mangalore Special Economic Zone Limited (MSEZL).
The event was graced by the presence of Nandakumar Velayudhan Pillai Director (Refinery), BHV Prasad, Executive Director (Projects), B. S udarshan Executive Director ( Refinery) Yogish Nayak S, CFO and other senior Officers of MRPL, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards achieving self-reliance in chemical production.
The launch of MRPL’s Toluene product was recently launched by the #MinisterofPetroleum and Natural Gas, #HardeepSinghPuri, during his visit to the refinery. MRPL’s entry into Toluene production is a pivotal move toward reducing India’s dependency on imports and strengthening the nation’s industrial and economic development. This aligns with the Government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
