MoS for Home, Nityanand Rai inaugurated CISF Housing Complex at Baprola, Najafgarh, New Delhi


New Delhi, 18.11.2021: In an inaugural function, Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai inaugurated Family Housing Complex for 768 personnel of CISF at Baprola, Najafgarh, New Delhi. This housing complex will be the new home for CISF personnel deployed in Blue, Green, Grey and Magenta lines of Delhi Metro. Smt Nina Singh, ADG (HQrs), N. G. Gupta, IG (NCR), Udayan Banerjee IG (Adm), Jitender Rana, DIG (DMRC) and other senior officers of CISF, Delhi Metro and DSIIDC were present on the occasion.

On arrival at the function, Hon’ble MoS for Home, Nityanand Rai was welcomed by Smt. Nina Singh, ADG (HQrs) and other senior officers of CISF. Smt. Nina Singh, ADG (HQrs) presented the details of the housing complex, and other efforts being made towards the welfare of CISF personnel.

In his address, Nityanand Rai applauded the contribution & sacrifices made by the CISF personnel in line of duty. He also reiterated the numerous welfare programmes conceived by the government under the leadership of Hon’ble PM for the personnel of Armed forces and Central Armed Police forces. He further added that the Govt is committed and proactively engaged in creation of better facilities for armed forces and police personnel in line of duty and also for their families and wards. In the phase 1, the MHA had sanctioned about 133 crore rupees for these 768 dwelling units of CISF personnel and further sanction for rupees 54 crores has also been given for additional 312 dwelling unit in Baprola itself.

Nityanand Rai also inaugurated a Gymnasium, Dispensary, Police Canteen, Skill development Center and crèche that will serve the families residing in the campus. Nityanand Rai also handed over the keys to the families of the allottees. He also planted a sapling to mark the occasion and gave a message of clean and green environment.

After the function, Nityanand Rai also took a round of the campus and visited a few residences and interacted with the families staying therein. He also had tea at the house of Constable Aqib Ahmed and his wife Farim Aqib who are new allottees. Constable Aqib Ahmed serves in Blue line of Delhi Metro, he expressed his happiness on being allotted a house in a clean and green locality.

In the end, Nityanand Rai also gave directions to senior officer of CISF to develop more facilities for better community living and education facilities for the wards of CISF personnel within the campus.
