Hamburg, July 8 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of the G20 Summit here.
“PM @narendramodi meets PM @JustinTrudeau of Canada on the sidelines of G20,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopan Baglay tweeted.
Modi last met Trudeau on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington in April 2016.
The two leaders also spoke over phone to discuss the Paris Climate Agreement ahead of Modi’s visit to the US last month.
Trudeau assumed office as the second youngest Prime Minister of Canada in November 2015.
Canada is home to around 1.2 million persons of Indian origin.
Earlier on Friday, Modi met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the Summit.
