Jakarta, June 23  An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck Indonesia Saturday, but there was no immediate report of damage or casualty.

The tremor struck around 11.30 a.m. The epicentre was located in Aceh province with a depth of 103 km, Xinhua quoted the meteorology and geophysics agency as saying.

Indonesia sits on a vulnerable quake-prone zone called “the Pacific Ring of Fire”.
