New Delhi, Oct 31, 2011 Vigilance awareness week is being observed in Punjab National Bank from 31.10.2011 to 05.11.2011.

The week commenced on 31.10.2011 with administration of pledge to bring about integrity and transparency in all spheres of bank’s activity at all the offices of the Bank, its subsidiaries and RRBS sponsored by the Bank.

At its Head Office at 7, Bhikaiji Cama Place, New Delhi, the pledge was administered by K.R. Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank in the presence of Chief Vigilance Officer   Shiv Kumar Gupta.

During the week, the focus is on effective preventive measures undertaken through system improvements and use of information technology to fight corruption. Bank shall also focus on spreading awareness amongst all the stake holders i.e. customers, staff and public on the harmful effects of corruption in the society. Bank hold meeting/ seminars and preventive vigilance related issues during the week.
