New Delhi, Aug 01, 2012 :Punjab National Bank, the leading Nationalized Bank in the country, is organizing a special Savings Fund Campaign in all its branches across India from 01.08.2012 to 30.09.2012. During the campaign, intensive efforts will be made to reach out to all prospective clients & open their Savings Fund accounts.
The Bank offers saving fund account facility with a host of other Technology based facilities such as Mobile Banking, SMS alerts, ASBA, Debit card with free Accidental Insurance, Credit Card, Royal Mediclaim Policy, free Internet Banking with payment facility, PNB Prudent Sweep Account, PNB Saving Account for Premium Customer and three in one Account (saving fund, demat & trading account) etc. which adds a lot of value to the customer.
The Campaign along with PNB’s first PNB Pragati Branch was inaugurated by K. R. Kamath, CMD of the Bank on 01.08.2012 at Branch Office Bhikhaiji Cama Place, New Delhi, a PNB Pragati branch located at the Corporate Office of the Bank. Rakesh Sethi, Usha Ananthasubramanian and S. R. Bansal, Executive Directors of the Bank were also present on the occasion. The event was also attended by S. R. Sharma, Field General Manager and other Senior Officials of the Bank along with the customers. The program was webcast live on the website www.pnbindia.in.
While inaugurating the Savings Fund Campaign, Kamath said that encouraged by the response of the employees of the Bank for the Campaign last year, this year also we are launching Campaign but this year the focus is only on bringing quality accounts. He stated that each employee of the Bank will bring at least 10 quality accounts. Further, he also emphasized upon the objectives of the Campaign i.e. increasing the clientele base, regaining CASA supremacy, sustaining the deposits and efficient delivery at the branches.
The Campaign launched would be in two phase i.e. mobilization phase i.e. 01.08.2012 to 30.09.2012 and sustenance phase from 01.10.2012- 31.12.2012 and with the wholehearted efforts of the staff, would be able to generate 10 lakh new accounts with the fresh deposits of approximately ` 5000 crore. Pilot PNB Pragati Branch inaugurated along with the Campaign will facilitate towards enhancing the deposits growth by providing convenient and personalized banking services to the customers.
The three EDs of the Bank also addressed the gathering on the occasion and stressed upon the need to provide quick & courteous services to maintain the lead position in the present scenario and making the Savings Deposit Campaign a grand success.
