New Delhi, March 22 : Eight Power Stations of NTPC Limited have bagged the prestigious National Meritorious Performance Awards instituted by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India for the years 2009-10 and 2010-11.
NTPC –Vindhyachal and Dadri have received Gold Shield for year 2010-11 and 2009-10 and respectively.
NTPC- Ramagundam received Silver Shield for both the years and NTPC – Vindhyachal Silver for 2009-10.
NTPC- Rihand received Bronze Shield for both the years and Korba for the year 2009-10.
The Awards were presented by Sushilkumar Shinde, Union Minister of Power to REDs and General Managers of the respective Stations at a function held in in New Delhi today. K.C. Venugopal, Minister State for Power was also present on the occasion.
National Awards to Power Utilities for meritorious performance have been instituted by the Ministry of Power to inculcate competitive spirit and to motivate the power Utilities to achieve higher levels of performance.
