New Delhi, May 30 : Dr. M. Veerappa Moily , Union Minister of Corporate Affairs felicitated Arup Roy Choudhury CMD NTPC and Chairman SCOPE  on the occasion Dun & Bradstreet of India’s Top PSUs 2012 at a function held in New Delhifor his  contribution to the sector.

As Chairman, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex body of central public sector enterprises (CPSEs), Shri Roy Choudhury has been effectively leading policy advocacy for greater empowerment of these enterprises. He is also promoting the cause of greater professionalism, competitiveness, societal commitment, transparency and global-benchmarking among the CPSEs.

Arup Roy Choudhury has the distinction of becoming the youngest Chief Executive Officer of a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) at the age of 44 years when he joined as Chairman & Managing Director, National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) on April 03, 2001.
