Konkan Railway Celebrates its 17th Foundation day

Konkan Railway to prove its construction acumen has taken up challenging work of construction of new railway line in the Himalayas. As the occasion of its 17th Foundation Day on 15th October is approaching, Konkan Railway has added a feather to its cap by upping its operating surpluses in 2005-06 by a staggering 71% compared to 2004-05.

In the last 8 years of operations phase, Konkan Railway has brought a sea change in passenger amenities on its route, and by executing vast scale safety precautions made travel on Konkan Railway route a safe and enjoyable experience.

The Corporation is consistently making operational surpluses since the first years of train operations in finance, passenger amenities and customer care, safety works, project management and telemedicine etc. On the occasion of its 17 th Foundation Day, Foundation Day awards will be given to meritorious employees for excellence in service.
