 PNB bags National Award for excellence in lending to tiny sector

Punjab National Bank has been awarded the National Award (1st Prize) for Excellence in lending to Tiny Sector. The Hon'ble Union Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukerjee at National Convention and National Award Function presented the award on 7th October, 2006 in New Delhi. Shri S.C. Gupta, CMD of PNB alongwith Shri V.K. Nagar, General Manager received the award from Shri Pranab Mukerjee in the presence of Shri Mahabir Prasad, Hon'ble Union Minister for Small Scale Industries.

The Hon'ble Union Minister for Small Scale Industries, Govt. of India commended the role of Punjab National Bank for Excellence in lending to Tiny Sector during 2005-06.

Punjab National Bank offers a wide variety of banking services, with its presence virtually in all the important centers of the country. The large presence and vast resources base have helped the bank to build strong links with Small & Medium industries and Tiny Sector / KVIC particularly in Rural India.

Punjab National Bank takes pride that Bank has been conferred National Award (1st {position) for Excellence in lending to Tiny Sector. This has motivated bank to redouble its efforts towards providing credit to the Tiny & Small Scale Sector.
