GREEN-TECH LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR SHRI C.P. JAIN

New Delhi, October 23, 2005

Shri C.P. Jain, Chairman & Managing Director, NTPC Limited was conferred with prestigious Greentech Life Time Achievement Award by Mr. Franscisco Xavier Pacheco, Agriculture Minister, Government of Goa, at 6th Annual Greentch Conference on Environment Management being held at Panaji, Goa.

The Award has been presented to Shri Jain for outstanding contribution in the field of Environment Management and also his efforts to make NTPC a front runner in the Indian Power Sector. 

Shri C.P. Jain, CMD, NTPC is receiving the prestigious “Greentech Lifetime Achievement Award” instituted by Greentech Foundation

The three day meet has been organized in Goa from October 24 - 26 in association with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Malaysia, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Malaysia and Singapore Environment Institute.

The meet was participated by over 150 Corporate houses, Government bodies, NGOs and leading PSUs like BPCL, HPCL, IOCL and Tata Power.

Under his leadership NTPC has contributed 27.08% of the country’s electricity generation in 2004-05 with only 20.06% of installed capacity held by the Company.
