NFL presents final dividend Of Rs. 30.37 crores to Government

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) – has presented final dividend cheque of Rs. 30.37 crores to the Govt. in respect of shares held by it. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs. 16.77 crores paid by the Company in February this year. Thus, Company paid a total dividend of Rs. 47.14 crores to the Govt. for the year 2004-05.

Shri P.S.Grewal, Chairman & Managing Director, NFL presented dividend Cheque of Rs. 30.37 crores to Hon’ble Union Minister (Chemicals & Fertilizers, Steel), Shri Ram Vilas Paswan on 20th October, 2005. Shri Madhukar Gupta, Secretary (Fertilizers, Top Officials of the Ministry and NFL were also present on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that NFL is a Mini Ratna, Category-I Company and has consistently been making profits since inception. The Company has paid a cumulative dividend of Rs. 716.61 crores to the Govt. Till-date against paid up equity of Rs. 490.58 crores. During the year 2004-05, NFL achieved a sales turnover of Rs. 3,474 crores with a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs. 214.55 crores.
