Railways announces productivity linked bonus to non-gazetted employees

New Delhi, October 05, 2005 

The Ministry of Railways has sanctioned productivity linked bonus equivalent to 59 days wages without any eligibility ceiling on wages to all the non gazetted group B, C and D railway employees (excluding all RPF/RPSF personnel). If wages exceeds Rs. 2500 per month, the productivity linked bonus will be calculated on the assumption that wages are Rs. 2500 per month.

As per the 5th Central Pay Commission scales of pay, “wages” for the purpose of productivity linked bonus include pay as defined in the rules and Dearness Allowance sanctioned in the revised scales during the current financial year. 

For Running staff, pay includes 30 per cent of pay constituting the pay element in Running Allowance payable on leave salary. 

The payment of productivity linked bonus to all eligible non-gazetted Railway employees is to be completed before the beginning of Durga Pooja/Dussehra holidays.
