NFL presents dividend of Rs. 24.91 cr. to govt.

 

New Delhi, October 20, 2004

 

National Fertilizer Limited (NFL) presented dividend cheque of Rs. 24.91 crores to the Govt. in respect of shares held by it.  The Company, in its 30th Annual General Meeting approved a dividend of Rs. 25.51 crores to the Shareholders.

 

P. S. Grewal, Chairman and Managing Director, National Fertilizers Limited presented Dividend Cheque representing Govt.'s share to the Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Steel, Ram Vilas Paswan. S.N.P.N. Sinha, Secretary (Fertilizers), top Officials of the Ministry and NFL were also present on the occasion.

 

NFL is a Mini Ratna Category-I Company and has consistently been making profits since inception and it has paid a cumulative dividend of Rs. 669.47 crores to the Govt. till date against paid up equity of Rs. 490.58 crores.  During the year 2003-04, NFL achieved a sales turnover of Rs. 3,387.62 crores with a net profit (before tax) of Rs. 121.96 crores.

 

During the first six months of current fiscal, the overall capacity utilization for Urea production of NFL is 107%.  The Company has a total installed capacity of 32.31 lakh MT of Urea.

 

All Plants, Corporate Office and Marketing operations of NFL are, at present, ISO-9002 and ISO-14001 certified.
