Sri Lanka to host 3 major IT Events

Sri Lanka will host three major international IT conferences and exhibitions in 2004 i.e. the ASOCIO ICT Summit and Exhibition 2004, the 6th International Information Technology Conference 2004(IITC) and the 2nd International e-Governance Conference 2004(ICEG) to promote Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the country.

The Government has decided to support to organise these events by declaring them as National Events.  The decision supports duty free import of all exhibits and would also allow tax deductions of expenses incurred by sponsors and participants.

The international events will be held from 29th November to 05th December 2004, which has been declared National ICT Week.
