CONCOR pays Rs. 51.25 cr. dividend for 2003-2004

 

New Delhi, October 14, 2004

 

A.K. Kohli, Managing Director, Container Corporation of India Ltd.(CONCOR), a mini-ratna PSU under Ministry of Railways, presented a Dividend Cheque of Rs. 51.25 cr. for the financial year 2003-2004 to the Minister for Railways, in the presence of Chairman Railway Board, Financial Commissioner, Railway Board and Member Traffic, Railway Board/Chairman, CONCOR and other Railway officials. CONCOR’s shareholders in its 16th Annual General Meeting held on 20th Sept.2004 have already declared dividend @125% on the paid up equity share capital.

 

On this occasion, Managing Director, CONCOR A. K. Kohli, mentioned about the impressive growth achieved during the year both in terms of physical and financial performance. 

 

The volumes handled have grown by more than 15% to 16,02,119 TEUs (Twenty Equivalent Units). Income from operations increased from the previous year figure of Rs.1483.4 cr. to Rs.1764.4 cr. registering a growth of 19% and Net profit has also increased to Rs.368 cr. against the corresponding figure of Rs.273 cr., registering growth of 35%.
