Language User Interface on ATMs
New Delhi November 28, 2006
Punjab National Bank took another step in bringing
“technology and people” closer by introducing a unique feature
of Regional Language User Interface on ATMs for the
convenience of local customers.
Continuing the tradition to offer “Convenience Banking” to
masses at large, the ATM screens have been customized to meet
the needs of local population in using ATM facilities at rural
and semi-urban areas.
Besides Hindi and English screens, the customer now enjoys
the benefit of local languages. The Bank has introduced total
10 regional languages - Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu Tamil,
Malayalam, Kannada, Bangla, Gujrati, Urdu and Oriya. Now the
customer has the choice to select any of the three languages,
Hindi, English or a regional language, available on a
particular ATM.
PNB has taken a step forward in creating a comfort level
for the customers in enjoying banking & financial services
through ATMs.
