India-EU explore
possibilities of Joint Cooperation in ICT
New Delhi, November 28, 2006
India and Egypt have broadly outlined areas of mutual
cooperation in the field of e-governance, Information
Security, Capacity building, IT Policy and IT industry
promotion, Telecom Sector, e-posts and setting up of IT parks.
B-B contacts between Egypt and Indian IT enterprises could
also be encouraged as a part of the venture by organizing
conventions, seminars and visit of business delegation said
Dr. Shakeel Ahmad; Minister of State for Communications &
Information Technology.
Both can explore the possibilities for business
opportunities and take up projects and consultancy work in the
field of rural communications. India and Egypt should work
together for developing G-2-G and B-2-B relationships in ICT
sectors and for joint progress in education and health sector.
MOU between both countries for bilateral cooperation in ICT
sector would be signed tomorrow in Chennai to foment the
bilateral relations.
