Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh talks to President Bush
New Delhi, November 16, 2006
The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh on a telephonic
conversation with President George W. Bush of the United States discussed the
legislation relating to the India-US Civil Nuclear Cooperation understanding.
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the President's
commitment to the passage of the legislation and expressed hopes that the Bill
in its final form will accommodate India's stated concerns. The two leaders
expressed satisfaction at the state of bilateral relations between India and the
US.
The tell tales of the conversation indicate a bright future
ahead for both democracies.
