ONGC receives 'Asia's best oil & gas company' award

The award was received by ONGC’s Director (Exploration) Mr. Y B Sinha on November 16, in New York, at the Seventh Annual Global Finance “World’s Best Companies” Award Ceremony.

The US magazine ‘Global Finance’ found ONGC as the best Oil & Gas company in this part of the globe, in its seventh annual survey of Regional Players and Global Leaders. The survey, conducted by the New York-based magazine, rated Exxon-Mobil was the best Oil & Gas company in the world. The results of the survey were published in the magazine’s November 2004 issue.

The ‘Global Finance Award’ winners were chosen using several criteria, including revenue & profit growth, market capitalization & share price growth, corporate responsibility, product innovation, global expansion and corporate accountability.
