BEML to Pay 55% Interim Dividend to GOI
New Delhi, March 25, 2008
| Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), a premier Public Sector
Company under Ministry of Defence and engaged in the
manufacture and supply of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment for the
Mining and construction Sector, Heavy Duty Trucks for Defence
forces and Rail and Metro Coaches to the Indian Railways, has
declared an all-time high Dividend of 55 % as Interim Dividend
for the financial year 2007-08. |

The company's Chairman and Managing Director Shri VRS
Natarajan presented the cheque for Rs. 12,37,50,000/- (Rupees
twelve crores thirty seven lakhs and fifty thousand only) to
the Defence Minister Shri AK Antony in New Delhi, today as
interim dividend for 54% of company's shares held by the
Government of India. Speaking on the occasion, the Defence
Minister complimented the efforts of BEML and hoped for its
bright future. Secretary (Defence Production), Shri Pradeep
Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production) was also present on the
occasion.
During the last year BEML had paid 40% as interim dividend for
an amount of Rs. 9 crores for 61.2 % of company's shares held
with Government of India. BEML is set to achieve beyond its
MoU Sales target of Rs. 2765 crores for the financial year
2007-08 and the order book position is expected to cross Rs.
4000 crores by the end of the current account year.
