National Title to NTPC Team

New Delhi, 23 June, 2011

 

NTPC team came first in the National level contest of the “National Management Games -2011 conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) held recently at Delhi. The NTPC team comprising 4 members consisted of Ashish Aggarwal, Sr. Finance Officer, Gaurav Gulati, Sr. Finance Officer, Munesh Sharma, Sr. HR. Officer and K. M Prashanth, DGM (Corporate Communication) Nearly 125 Corporate consisting of leading PSUs, Private Companies and MNCs participated in the competition.

 

Initially, regional level competitions were held at four cities namely Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. The winners of the regional level participated in the National finals.

The Management Games enables the participants to manage a real business in a simulated environment where they will go through the pains and gains of running a company in a competitive environment. The participating teams will take strategic business decisions and see the impact through AIMA's indigenously developed software 'Chanakya'. The philosophy behind the management simulations is “learning by doing”.

Conducted annually by AIMA, the winners will represent India in the Asian Management Games and the Global Challenge Trophy.
