Air India ties up with Slovenian carrier
|
New Delhi,
15 June, 2011 In
an attempt to boost its international network, national
carrier Air India Tuesday entered into a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) with Slovenian flag carrier Adria Airways.
"The MoU will pave the way for Adria Airways to access Air
India's network, by generating traffic beyond Delhi and
provide Air India access to the east European market," Air
India said in a statement.
According to the airline, the tie-up will allow it to tap into
the thriving passenger segment between India and eastern
Europe. |
|
"There is an existing potential of
130,000 passengers between India and eastern Europe which both
Air India and Adria Airways aim to tap," said the statement.
The MoU will also allow Air India to expand passenger and
cargo services at Adria Airways-hub at Ljubljana airport.
