State-run National Aluminium Company
Limited (NALCO) Thursday announced to set up a 50.4 MW wind
power project in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs.274
crore.
The project, scheduled to be completed in about eight months,
will be executed through Suzlon Energy Limited at Gandikota in
Kadapa district, said B.L. Bagra, chairman-cum-managing
director of the company.
Under the project, 24 wind turbine generators, each of 2.1 MW
capacity, will be set up. The NALCO board has approved the
project at a meeting held recently.
"The power generated will be sold to the Andhra Pradesh State
Grid," Bagra said. |
