PNB Revises Interest
Rates on Non –Resident Deposits
New Delhi, June 01, 2009
Punjab National Bank has revised the rates of interest on
FCNR (B) Deposits Scheme for USD, GBP, EURO, CAD and AUD
deposits w.e.f. 1st June, 2009. The rate of interest on USD
deposits has been revised to 2.60 % for maturity of 1 year to
less than 2 years (1st maturity), 2.38% for 2 years to less
than 3 years (2nd maturity), 2.99 % for 3 years to less 4
years (3rd maturity), 3.52 % for 4 years to less than 5 years
(4th maturity) and 3.92 % for 5 years only (5th maturity).
The rate of interest on GBP deposits has been revised to
2.76 % for 1st maturity, 2.93 % for 2nd maturity, 3.55 % for
3rd maturity, 4.00 % for 4th maturity and 4.30 % for 5th
maturity. The rate of interest on EURO deposits has been
revised to 2.64 % for 1st maturity, 2.76 % for 2nd maturity,
3.19 % for 3rd maturity, 3.56 % for 4th maturity and 3.87 %
for the 5th maturity.
The rate of interest on CAD (Canadian Dollars) deposits has
been revised to 2.45 % for 1st maturity, 2.11 % for 2nd
maturity, 2.73 % for 3rd maturity, 3.13 % for 4th maturity and
3.47 % for 5th maturity. The rate of interest on AUD
(Australian Dollars) deposits has been revised to 4.98 % for
1st maturity, 4.65 % for 2nd maturity, 5.31% for 3rd maturity,
5.76 % for 4th maturity and 6.02 % for 5th maturity.

The applicable rate of interest on NRE Term deposits for
the period 1.6.2009 to 30.6.2009 is 3.35% for maturities of 1
year to less than 2 years, 3.13% for maturities of 2 year to
less than 3 years and 3.74% for maturities of 3 years to 5
years.
