BPCL Q1 profits up at Rs 1473 million

New Delhi, July 30, 2004

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 1473 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 as compared to Rs 3193 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2003. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 112250 million in the JQ-03 to Rs 131156 million in the quarter ended June 30, 2004.

The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 2728 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 as compared to Rs 4321 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2003. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 128245 million in the JQ-03 to Rs 147097 million in the quarter ended June 30, 2004.
