EU funded hospital inaugurated in Guwahati, Assam

Guwahati, 11 January 2005. 

The "Dherenpara Maternity and Child Hospital" was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Assam, Mr. Tarun Gogoi here today. The construction of this hospital has been sponsored by the European Commission funded Sector Investment Programme (SIP) which is an integral part of the Government of India's National Family Welfare Programme and covers 24 states of the country. The Delegation of the European Commission in India, senior officers of the Government of Assam, and members of the European Commission Technical Assistance (ECTA) team were present at the inauguration ceremony.
