VSNL Q3 net dips 15-fold at Rs 9.52 cr

Tata Group company Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd today posted a
nearly 15-fold decrease in net profit at Rs 9.52 crore for the
third quarter ended December 31, 2007, compared to Rs 142.28
crore in the same period a year ago.
The total income of the firm increased marginally at Rs
1,113.52 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs
1,112.25 crore for the corresponding quarter last year, the
company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Shares of VSNL were trading at Rs 519, down 6.47% on the BSE.
