Envoys Present Credentials To President
New Delhi, February 14, 2008
Eight envoys presented their credentials to the President
of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at a ceremony at
Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi today.
The Envoys who presented their credentials were: - His
Excellency Savenaca Kaunisela, the High Commissioner of
Fiji, His Excellency Rupert Holborow, the High
Commissioner of New Zealand, Her Excellency Nimisha
Madhvani, the High Commissioner of Uganda, His Excellency
Oscar Alfonso Silva, the Ambassador of Chile, His Excellency Dato Tan Seng Sung, the High Commissioner of Malaysia, His
Excellency, Brian Bowler, the High Commissioner of Malawi,
His Excellency, Stavros Lykidis, the Ambassador of Greece
and His Excellency Dick Esparon, the High Commissioner of
Seychelles.
The President during her interaction with the Head of
Missions stated that India is committed to promoting peace and
prosperity in the world and to have friendly relations with
all countries. She wished the Ambassadors/High Commissioners
success during their tenure in India.
The credential presentation ceremony was attended by the
senior members of the diplomatic missions, senior officials of
the Ministry of External Affairs and of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
