India, Denmark sign instruments to enhance bilateral coop
New Delhi, February 08, 2008
India and Denmark have signed three
instruments to further enhance bilateral cooperation,
including the emerging sector of new and renewable energy.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh held talks with his visiting
Danish counterpart Anders Fogh Rasmussen to strengthen
relations between the two countries on Wednesday.
The two sides signed an Memorandum of Understanding for
cooperation in New and Renewable energy which seeks to
establish Joint Committee which will identify areas of mutual
interest for development of technologies for the sector.
The two countries also agreed on an arrangement for
cooperation on gainful employment for family members of the
diplomatic mission or consular post.
The two sides agreed to set up a joint commission for
cooperation that seeks to provide impetus to and develop all
fields of mutual interest, including political, economic,
commercial, science and technology, and culture.
