Mother Teresa Award for Corporate Citizen to NTPC

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam presented the Mother Teresa Award
instituted by Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA)
for Ethical and Good Corporate Governance to NTPC.
The award was received by T. Sankaralingam, CMD, NTPC
Limited at a function held in Chennai. |

Speaking on the occasion N. Vittal, former Chief Vigilance
Commissioner and Chairman of Awards Committee said Mother
Teresa cherished certain human values that are equally
relevant in this fiercely competitive globalised corporate
environment, through this award we recognize the eternal
values in Indian Corporates. The award established by LIBA in
1998 is given to an organization in recognition of
achievements in areas of Ethical Governance.
Mother Teresa Award is presented to an organization which
is involved in social welfare activities for the benefit of
the disadvantaged sections of the society and can serve as a
role model to others.
