Powergrid’s Q3 Net Rises 13.94%

The Central Transmission Utility of the Country, Power Grid
Corporation of India has reported a 13.94% rise in the net
profit for the third quarter ended December 31,2007 at Rs.
384.28 crore as compared to Rs. 337.27 crore during the same
Quarter in the previous year. The net profit of the
Corporation including foreign exchange rate gain for the nine
months ended December 31, 2007 rose to Rs.1207.68 crore from
Rs. 794.53 crore, up by 52%.
