PNB increases BPLR by 25 basis points to
11.75% P.A.
W.E.F. 1st JANUARY, 2007
New Delhi, December 28, 2006
The recent tightness in liquidity resulted in
spurt in the rates of interest on Term Deposits of the banks.
Punjab National Bank had increased its Term Deposits rates
twice in quick succession in the recent past by 25 to 75 basis
points for different maturities. It, therefore, became
imperative to increase BPLR to protect its "Net Interest
Margin" and to watch shareholders' interest.
