Nuke Bill reflects Global
confidence in India : CII
New Delhi, December 11, 2006
The adoption of the Nuclear Bill in the US Congress
reflects global confidence in India as a responsible, free
market, stable democracy , the Confederation of Indian
Industry (CII) said in its Press Statement issued here today.
Mr R Seshasayee, President, CII said " This is a vote of
confidence in India".
"CII strongly welcomes the development ", said the CII
President and added that India's Energy strategy, plans and
needs will be greatly strengthened by the Energy co-operation
between India and its global partners.
The CII statement added that India can now expand its
Energy programmes and CII hopes that the Nuclear Suppliers
group countries will fully co-operate in recognizing India's
position as a responsible nuclear power.
