ONGC bags ‘CNBC – TV18 CFO Award 2006’

R S Sharma, C&MD and Director (Finance), ONGC has been
awarded the ‘CNBC – TV18 CFO Award 2006’ for excellence in
Finance in the Oil and Allied Services category, recently.
The winners of the CNBC-TV18 CFO Award, India's Most
recognised award for excellence in the financial field, was
selected after an extensive three -stage selection process by
a six member jury.
The awards this year were adjudged by an independent jury
consisting of eminent industry representatives viz. T V
Mohandas Pai, Director, HR &ENR, Infosys Technology Ltd.,
Shailesh Haribhakti, Chairman, FPSB India, Sumant Sinha, CFO
AV Birla Group, Dileep Choksi, Joint Managing Partner,
Deloitte Haskins and Sell, Subrata Mukherji, MD, ICICI
Securities Ltd, and K K Mistry, MD, HDFC.
These Awards provide an in-depth insight into the best
practices adopted by industry's top CFOs across sector while
benchmarking successful strategies that would help
organizations across industries to enhance and maximize its
potential.
Earlier, Shri Sharma received the “India CFO Award 2005”
for excellence in Finance in a PSU from International Market
Assessment in association with BNP Paribas, Sun Micro Systems
and CNBC TV 18 and the “Biggest Wealth Creator Award” from
Motilal Oswal Securities Ltd. and CNBC TV 18. Under the
guidance of Shri Sharma, ONGC continues to remain the Most
Valuable Company of India.
