Indo-French Business Meet
2006 Begins in Delhi
New Delhi, December 05, 2006
The prestigious Indo-French Business Meet 2006, the mega
event clubbing together products of Global Business players
and laying opportunities for mergers, alliances and
prospective partnerships under a single umbrella has been
officially opened by Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce and
Industry, and Christine Lagarde, the French minister of
Foreign Trade on December 4 in New Delhi.
Opening the floodgates for an unprecedented business
exchange experience offering enormous expansion capabilities
for business communities across the spectrum, this event will
gather 150 French SME's and 1000 Indian companies, which can
make room for new & constructive partnerships in Delhi,
Mumbai, Bangalore, until December 8.
This unique match-making exercise will focus on forging new
partnerships, technology transfers and new distribution
contracts.
Although Indo-French bilateral trade has been growing by a
reasonable 24% per year with an annual figure of 4 billion
Euros, this and other such collaborations are symptomatic of a
mutual wish to strengthen business links between both the
countries, widening scope for future participation in areas of
shared development.
