Indo-French Business Meet 2006 Begins in Delhi

New Delhi, December 05, 2006

The prestigious Indo-French Business Meet 2006, the mega event clubbing together products of Global Business players and laying opportunities for mergers, alliances and prospective partnerships under a single umbrella has been officially opened by Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Christine Lagarde, the French minister of Foreign Trade on December 4 in New Delhi.

Opening the floodgates for an unprecedented business exchange experience offering enormous expansion capabilities for business communities across the spectrum, this event will gather 150 French SME's and 1000 Indian companies, which can make room for new & constructive partnerships in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, until December 8.

This unique match-making exercise will focus on forging new partnerships, technology transfers and new distribution contracts.

Although Indo-French bilateral trade has been growing by a reasonable 24% per year with an annual figure of 4 billion Euros, this and other such collaborations are symptomatic of a mutual wish to strengthen business links between both the countries, widening scope for future participation in areas of shared development.
